These blankets are beautifully handwoven with care at Edmonton based Traceable Textiles : a fibre collective dedicated to crafting exquisite textiles without sacrificing sustainable and ethical practices. As their name suggests, Traceable Textiles commits to acknowledging and celebrating each process that occurs during the creation of a textile- from the many hands, hooves, and machines it must pass through before it is complete. Here at Custom Woolen Mills, we are proud to be a part of this process.

Woven by Weaver Katelin Karbonik, each blanket is woven with meticulous craft and care. Beginning with an Ontario spun warp, and then woven with a weft spun here at CWM, the fabric is incredibly soft and light- but still warm and cozy. Perfect for adding a little luxury to both breezy summer evenings and chillier winter nights.

Each blanket measures approximately 90'' x 48''.

100% Wool processed and spun in Canada.

Our Prairie Wool Sock Guide

When choosing socks, the Original Wool Socks are the warmest, the White Wool Mohair Socks are the softest, and the Hard Workin' Wool/Nylon Socks are the most durable.

Sizing

Our sock sizes correspond to men's shoe sizes or are slightly smaller. If you like your socks loose, you may want to pick the next size up. Most men tend to fit into sizes 10-12 or 13-15. Most women tend to fit into sizes 4-6 or 7-9. If your foot size is right on the upper border of a size range, we would recommend getting the next size up. This makes them a bit more forgiving when it comes to washing.

Sock Care

To keep your Custom Woolen Mills socks in tip-top condition, machine wash them gently and hang to dry to prevent shrinkage.

Proper fitting shoes have a huge impact on how your socks will wear. If you find you get holes in your socks quickly, you may want to assess how your shoes fit. In the meantime, we have a handy tutorial on how to darn socks.
