Description
Made from Mule Spinner 2-Ply 100% Wool Yarn, the Extra Thick Wool Socks are like a wool sweater for your feet. They are excellent for wearing in boots of all kinds, be they rubber boots on sloppy spring days or winter boots on those extra cold winter days. They are also great for cozying up inside next to the fireplace.
These socks are wider than our regular 100% wool socks and fit great as a slipper or lounge sock. They work great as a second pair of socks on those really cold days as well.
100% Canadian Wool processed at Custom Woolen Mills, Alberta, Canada.

Fantastic socks! A farmer friend from Nova Scotia told me he bought the best wool socks from a farmer's market in Alberta a few years ago. They were such good quality socks he wished he'd bought five pairs instead of one. I figured out they were a Custom Woolen Mills product and bought him some more. Definitely worth a visit to the shop, what an amazing facility! Feels like stepping back into the Industrial Revolution days. Great high quality local product, entirely grown and made in Canada.

Best socks you can buy. Worn these for like a decade,in -40C , deep spruce bush. Nothing beats this for warmth and practicality. Keep them very clean and don't let dirt abraise them or they will wear out in the heels. They are quality wool and lend the best qualities of the natural hair, dries by fire very well. Get one or two sizes up and wear overtop of the mohair blend socks and as long as you don't cut off circulation with squeezing pressure from a liner sock, mohair and this sock, they'll keep you super warm. I often combine these with felted boots and dry grass lining and have never been cold -50C even. Superb quality old school socks. Perfect gift sock.

Nice socks but the heel wore out in both pair in less than a year. Not sure if they can be fixed or “darned”.

My husband wore these socks in work boots for a year, then retired them to be bedsocks/slippers. Any holes that wear through the heel, I darn them easily. Ten years he's had these socks!
